RACETRAC GUESTS RAISE MORE THAN $44,000 FOR KIDS FIGHTING CANCER

2012 ‘Coffee for a Cause–Camp Sunshine’ campaign raises money for Georgia-based Camp Sunshine

 

ATLANTA – Oct. 25, 2012 — Today RaceTrac announced that, through the support of its charitable guests, more than $44,000 was raised during the course of its September 2012 “Coffee for a Cause” campaign to benefit Camp Sunshine. The 2012 campaign coincided with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and National Coffee Day to encourage the most awareness and participation.
 
Camp Sunshine, a local Georgia organization committed to enriching the lives of children with cancer and their families through recreational, educational and support programs, received all funds from coffee purchases from Sunday, Sept. 23 through Saturday, Sept. 29, and guests were able to additional funds throughout the entire month of September. The campaign came to a close on Saturday, Sept. 29, which was National Coffee Day.
“The continued success of this program, and especially this year’s success proves our customers’ commitment to helping their communities,” said RaceTrac Chairman of the Board Carl Bolch Jr. “Camp Sunshine is a cause we believe in wholeheartedly at RaceTrac. I’m proud to know our guests feel the same way.”
This is RaceTrac’s third year promoting the “Coffee for a Cause–Camp Sunshine.” Last year’s campaign raised $35,236. Both RaceTrac Chairman of the Board Carl Bolch Jr. and his wife, Susan, are 29-year supporters of Camp Sunshine and sit on the organization’s board.
