Homestead, FL student won a new car from RaceTrac and Jacked Up Energy Drinks!

RaceTrac teamed up with Jacked Up Energy Drinks and gifted Homestead, Fla. resident Livan Garcia with a brand-new, silver 2011 Chevrolet Camaro on February 18th, 2011. Garcia, a graphic design student at Miami Dade College, was the winner in the inaugural Show Us Your Jacked Up Photo contest, co-sponsored by us and Jacked Up. In addition to the car, valued at $32,100, Garcia received $100 in RaceTrac gas along with a Jacked Up prize pack during a celebration held in his honor at the RaceTrac store on 8th St. in Homestead, FL.

The “Show Us Your Jacked Up Photo” contest ran from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, 2010 on our website and was open to residents of Texas, Georgia, Florida and Louisiana. Participants were asked to capture their most “Jacked Up” moment in a photograph. Images were judged based on creativity and use of the RaceTrac and Jacked Up brands. More than 200 approved entries were received. Garcia’s photo, which featured his wife sitting on a skateboard outside one of our stores, was ultimately chosen for its artistic merit and melding of both the RaceTrac and Jacked Up brands.

“Winning this contest is a great way to start the year for my family and me,” Garcia said. “I’ve never won anything in my life. I still can’t believe I’m not dreaming. Thank you to RaceTrac and Jacked Up. And thank you to all my friends and family who voted for me.”

Garcia received his prie during an event held on Feb. 18 at RaceTrac No. 26, located at 1955 NE 8th St. in Homestead, FL. RaceTrac and Jacked Up team members were on-site during the celebration pumping gas for patrons and passing out free beverages and food, including hot dogs donated by Nathan’s Famous and chips donated by Frito Lay.

“When Jacked Up approached us about partnering on this contest, we recognized it as an ideal way to reward our loyal guests,” said Eric Williams, vice president of marketing for RaceTrac. “This is a grassroots program. Livan learned about the contest inside his local store, took his winning photo outside his local store and will receive his prize at his local store. And we invited the entire Homestead community to help us celebrate.”
